S.S.Coral is a family-owned Live Coral farm started in 2000 that sells to both wholesale and retail operators. This site was created to promote the sale of our farm grown corals, provide visual pictures of our corals and reef aquarium supplies, offer information concerning coral reefs and the animal kingdom of coral and where you can purchase our farm raised corals.
All the live coral shown on this website are available for delivery. If you operate close to our area, we encourage you to stop by our farm to hand pick your coral selections.
We do not purchase live coral colonies only to cut them up and then sell them. All our corals are grown from single mother colonies that we have had for at least ten years! We do purchase new mother colonies from time to time only to increase our portfolio of species. We have many different species of coral available ranging from beginner corals to rare and delicate corals requiring expert care.
Coral are becoming more and more endangered in the wild; by purchasing farm raised corals you do not contribute to the destruction of living reefs in our oceans. Because our marine corals have been farm raised for many years they are very adapted for life in captivity.
Our goal is to provide an opportunity to purchase high-quality live coral frags and also provide a wealth of interesting facts about the arts of Aquaculture and coral research topics such as; coral identification, pictures of coral, water conditions, diseases and threats, how to grow coral, and types of reef structures.
In this site you will find tips on: building, installing and maintaining reef aquariums, the science and application of reef aquarium lighting, saltwater chemicals, water flow, coral reef foods, refugium design, and how to propagate, frag and grow all types of coral.
Whether you are an aquarium hobbyist, marine biologist or just doing research on the restoration of coral reefs, it is our goal to provide exceptional quality coral frags and related products and offer a resource of information to answer your questions about coral farming.
